Bonjour à tous,
Voici quelques nouvelles rapides de la transhimalayenne, qui en est à son deuxième jour de marche:
-Un appel aujourd'hui à 14h15 de la part de Benjamin via téléphone satellite nous rassure que tous les marcheurs se portent bien.
Le groupe de dix occidentaux a été rejoint par six Tibétains, séléctionnés il y a quelques jours parmis plusieurs dizaines de postulants. Tous sont anciens prisonniers politiques. -Plus de 1100m de dénivelé ont été parcourus hier, et aujourd'hui le groupe complète un trajet de 30km.
L'organisation est bonne, les vivres et équipements divers étant achéminés sur le dos de 30 chevaux bien costauds.
-Le groupe a reçu un accueil très chaleureux et encourageant de la part de la population Tibétaine locale. Des groupes locaux se sont engagés à financer une partie du trajet. Les marcheurs ont eu un entretient privé avec l'Honorable Premier-Ministre du gouvernement Tibétain en exil, qui les a encouragé dans leur entreprise.

. -A phone call received today at 2:15pm (GMT+1) from Benjamin via satellite phone assures us that all the walkers are healthy and in great spirit.
The group of ten walkers from Europe has been joined by six Tibetans, all of them former political prisoners, selected over the past few days. -Yesterday's trek covered over 1100m in vertical climb. Today the walkers are covering 30km.
Thirty healthy horses are carrying all of the supplies and food for the trek. -The participants in the Trans-Himalayan walk have been greeted very enthusiastically by the local Tibetan population.
Yesterday the organisers had a private meeting with the Prime Minister of the exiled Tibetan Government. He gave the group his blessing and encouragement.
